Running Logos AI with Ollama for local study

Ollama is the simplest local-AI path for Logos AI because it gives users a practical way to run models on their own machine without turning setup into a research project.

That matters for three reasons:

  • some users want private local study workflows
  • some users want to keep using the app when network access is weak
  • some users simply prefer local control over hosted AI

The setup direction is intentionally direct:

  1. Install Ollama for your platform.
  2. Pull a model such as llama3.1.
  3. Start the Ollama service.
  4. Point Logos AI at the local Ollama endpoint.

That gives the desktop app a real offline-friendly AI path instead of making local support feel theoretical.

The new docs cover the install commands, how to verify Ollama is running, and what settings users need to provide in Logos AI to make that connection work.
